Christopher M. Lynch

(b. 1975- d. not yet )

----When Christopher M. Lynch¬Ýstarted kindergarten, the art programs in the schools were nonexistent.¬Ý In the early 80’Äôs Maine’Äôs education budget had been reduced, and the art program, unfortunately, was one of the first things to be cut. Thankfully, local artists rallied and volunteered their time to the elementary and middle schools so that the children¬Ýcould experience art and learn the importance of artistic expression.

P.S. Support Art In Schools :)

¬Ý¬Ý¬Ý¬Ý¬ÝIn an interview Lynch was asked, ’ÄúWhy Photography?’Äù Lynch replied, ’ÄúDrawing just took me too long.’Äù As¬ÝLynch took on photography as his medium of choice,¬Ýhe quickly gained access to shooting the live music scene. ¬ÝAt age 19, he had already shot David Bowie, R.E.M., Grateful Dead, Violent Femmes, and¬Ýnearly 60 other touring bands. ¬ÝNeedless to say, being backstage solidified his interest in continuing with his photography. ¬Ý

Currently Lynch is based in New York City shooting commercial campaigns for clients including Office*Max, Bud Light, New York Rangers, and Chamber Dance Project. ¬ÝLynch has also been involved with developing concepts and visual direction for many of his client's campaigns, and he continues to develop his own concepts to keep his creative-eye exercised. ¬Ý¬Ý
